About the accommodation
Welcome to Abba Arrubia, where uncontaminated nature and eco-sustainability make a destination ideal for couples and families looking for relaxation just a few minutes from the sea.
The owners, Elisabetta and Enrico, built the structure according to the principles of bio-architecture. It's a building that fits into its natural context without altering the balance, respecting environmental sustainability, and allowing guests to perceive the healthy energy of the place even inside the buildings.
Accommodation
The structure and systems are constructed in adherence to bio-architectural principles: roofing and wooden floors, ventilated and breathable roofs, ecological paint, load-bearing walls, electrical circuit breakers, natural terracotta floors, latex mattresses.
The site is powered by photovoltaic and solar panels and there is a place to recharge electric cars.
The water is drinkable and is extracted from a well dug into the granite. The infrastructure allows for cool temperatures in the summer and the fresh air of the countryside to circulate.
The structure has been included in the 'Nature, Beauty and Tourism' circuit promoted by Legambiente.
Surroundings and activites
From Abba Arrubia you can choose between numerous beaches. The beach of Feraxi, north of Capo Ferrato, reachable by car in 10 minutes, is incredibly wild and almost deserted even in high season. The water says low for long stretches of time and is therefore ideal for children and for those who want to walk in the water.
To the south of Capo Ferrato, about 15 minutes by car, there are some small beaches and the large Costa Rey beach, 10 km long, with crystal clear, emerald green water. The property is located at the foot of the Sette Fratelli Regional Park, which can be explored via marked hiking trails.
Location and getting around
The location of Abba Arrubia is very interesting: just 10 minutes by car are some of the most beautiful beaches in the area, characterized by fine beach and crystal clear sea (Feraxi, Costa Rei, Cala Sinzias, San Giovanni just to name a few); a few kilometers away are small grocery stores, bars, restaurants, bakeries, fishmongers, butchers, and dairies that offer local products.
A little further away are the towns of Muravera (north) and Olia Speciosa (south) with all services (medical service, supermarkets, herbalist, pharmacy, travel agencies, banks, post offices and any type of store). One hour by car is the city of Cagliari, with a port and airport.
