In the middle of the forest, in a clearing, 3 km from the beautiful village of Gartow, lies our special retreat. If you are looking for peace and quiet in nature and value simplicity and good things, this is the place for you. The old half-timbered building was renovated in a high-quality and sustainable manner using natural materials. Clay plaster on the walls and the wood-burning stove guarantee an excellent indoor climate, and the walk to the wood-fired sauna, with a view of the clearing, promises absolute relaxation!

The apartment has direct access to its own wooden terrace with a garden and clear views of the clearing. Here you can enjoy wonderful sunsets. Heating is provided by a water-bearing wood-burning stove that feeds the wall heating and can also be used for baking. Axe and wood are ready, and you're welcome to chop your firewood yourself. Another special feature is the built-in composting toilet, which is used almost exactly like a water toilet, but we will empty it for you.

The nearest town is Gartow, three kilometres away. There are supermarkets, an organic shop, an ice cream parlour and bicycle hire, a swimming pool with thermal spa, a wine shop, some craft shops and much more. Gartow is located directly on the large Gartow Lake, where you can swim or row in summer. The entire district can be explored wonderfully by bicycle, there are many beautiful tours - not only to the cultural country outing.

The nearest train stations are Dannenberg (25km) and Wittenberge. From Dannenberg there are buses on weekdays, or you can continue by bike. Arrival by car is of course also possible.
