Here in Saxon Switzerland an idyllically situated holiday home has been built with a lot of love for detail. Enjoy your vacation in our high-quality and individually furnished holiday apartments as well as the available leisure activities on the spacious grounds and in the village. As a guest in our house you will enjoy an impressive view of the Grosser Winterberg and the rock scenery of Saxon Switzerland. We know what families in particular expect on holiday, as we have three children ourselves. We want you to spend a wonderful time here with us, whether as a family, group or couple traveller. Our house was built in ecological building method with clay and has particularly allergy-friendly soft wood fibre insulation. Our dining tables, beds and washbasins are made of oak wood from our own forest. Our low-energy house is heated by solar thermal energy and pellet heating.

Until the beginning of 2011 there was a barn on our farm instead of the holiday home opened at Easter 2014. We decided to build a new, energy-efficient building in order to implement all our ideas. Look forward to an extremely cosy and healthy living environment. We offer five apartments, four of which have two bedrooms. Our lodging also has an extensive outdoor area with a playground at the house. Although it is located close to the centre of the village, it is still situated in a very quiet location on the outskirts. As a guest in our house, you will enjoy an impressive view of the so called Großer Zschand, the winter mountain and the rock scenery. All around the child we offer you a variety of baby and toddler equipment for rent.

Hinterhermsdorf is a recognized resort and has already been awarded as one of the most beautiful villages in Saxony. Here you and your children can enjoy an active and relaxing holiday in a quiet corner. Hinterhermsdorf and the surrounding area offer many other possibilities in addition to the numerous hiking and cycling trails. In 2011 the village was again awarded as a family-friendly holiday resort and is a national park municipality. So far, no other place in Saxon Switzerland has received these latter awards. Elevated table mountains, breathtaking views and a peaceful tranquillity far away from many trails you will find in the Elbsandsteingebirge. Over stairs or ladders you reach imposing views through narrow rocky clefts. The kingdom of rocks and stones in the Saxon Switzerland National Park will surprise you again and again with its adventurously beautiful paths.

We recommend that you travel by train, as this will enable you to travel to us quickly, cheaply and environmentally friendly and enjoy your journey from the very beginning. The nearest train stations are in Bad Schandau and Sebnitz. We would be happy to pick you up at the National Park station in Bad Schandau or at Sebnitz station. This service is free of charge if you book at least seven nights. The nearest motorway exits at the A17, Pirna and Bahretal are about one hour away, in the city centre of Dresden it takes about one and a half hours by car from our house.
