About the accommodation
On a large natural property, separated from the Baltic Sea only by dykes and dunes, we have realized a dream: A small, but fine, ecologically oriented holiday village for people who want to enjoy a holiday with a personal atmosphere. The holiday village is located north of Dahme in the Bay of Lübeck. It consists of 30 ecological holiday homes, which offer space for four to six people and with a green roof and a planking of natural larch wood fit completely into the extensive coastal landscape. In the communal house, the "centre of the holiday village", we offer you various services such as a small health food shop and the reception desk. For the colder days you will also find a sauna house directly in the holiday village. The village is situated in the north on a small strip of land of 15 hectares. Most of it belongs to nature. A nature reserve with typical vegetation has been created here.
Accommodation
The beach village Augustenhof is the ideal place for your family holiday on the Baltic Sea, the time out to relax in nature or to work in undisturbed surroundings. The beach is just a few meters above the dike and dunes, where a wide, little frequented natural beach awaits you. All cottages have a large south-facing terrace and are equipped with a fireplace and are habitable all year round. Towels and bed linen are included in the price, as well as final cleaning. On request, cot and high chair can be provided free of charge. From the bright, high living space, the view sweeps through the double-wing terrace door over colourful meadows. On sunny days enjoy the large south-facing terrace and when it gets dark outside, relax in front of the fireplace. With a ceramic hob, oven, refrigerator, dishwasher and a worktop made of grey granite, the solid wood kitchen leaves nothing to be desired.
Surroundings and activites
The beach village Augustenhof is located on a large, quietly situated meadow directly behind the dunes north of the Baltic Sea health resort Dahme in the Bay of Lübeck, a popular holiday area with a wide range of tourist attractions. With 2,200 hours of sunshine per year, it is also one of the sunniest regions in Germany. In the north and directly in front of the beach village is a natural beach. Here you can go for long walks at any time of the year. Wide dunes alternate with active cliffs. The hinterland with its old avenues and many small sights invites you to cycle tours and hikes on small country lanes through blooming rape fields, passing old mansions and fishermen's cottages. Alternatively, you can also visit the fishing villages of Heiligenhafen or Neustadt. Especially at Christmas time, the old Hanseatic city of Lübeck is always worth a visit. Sports facilities on land, water and in the air complete the wide range of leisure activities.
Location and getting around
The beach village Augustenhof is located on the Schleswig-Holstein Baltic Sea coast in the district of Ostholstein, directly north of the Baltic Sea spa resort Dahme.
You can reach the village by car via the A1 motorway in the direction of Fehmarn. Leave it at the Lensahn exit and drive towards Dahme. In Dahme keep to the left and continue north at the dike. After about two kilometres you will reach a barrier with a combination lock, the code of which you will receive with the booking confirmation. A short time later you will reach the beach village.
If you want to come by train, the call bus from Oldenburg/Holstein station will bring you directly to us quickly and cheaply.
