Neben den kulinarischen Vorzügen ziehen auch die schöne Landschaft und die zahllosen Burgen und Schlösser Jahr für Jahr unzählige Reisende in ihren Bann. Unweit von Koblenz und dem Deutschen Eck können sich Reisende davon auch auf dem nachhaltig betriebenen Holderbergerhof überzeugen. Der liebevoll nach baubiologischen Gesichtspunkten renovierte Hof befindet sich auf einem Anwesen, das bis ins 16. Jahrhundert zurückdatiert und neben dem Menschen auch einer Vielzahl an Tieren eine Heimat bietet. Die verschiedenen Ferienwohnungen bieten Platz für zwei bis sechs Personen, wodurch sie sich gleichermaßen für den Urlaub zu zweit, Urlaub mit der Familie oder Gruppenurlaub eignen. Die günstige Lage und der gute Anschluss an den ÖPNV machen den Holderbergerhof außerdem zu einem idealen Urlaubsdomizil, wenn Sie Ihrem Auto im Urlaub auch einmal eine Auszeit gönnen möchten.

The Holderbergerhof in Urbar is a historical summer residence from the 16th century. Here in the side valley of the Rhine near Koblenz, in the middle of the nature reserve, you will experience tranquillity and nature and still be close to the city. Our holiday apartments are embedded in the courtyard and facing south. The furnishings are high quality, individual and all apartments have their own entrance as well as a terrace or balcony. The building has undergone a biological restoration and the complex is heated with wood and a wood gasification system and supplied with warm water. The courtyard is spacious, has an old stock of trees and colourful flowers. There are many places to relax here and you can also observe countless animals: Birds, bees, salamanders, hedgehogs, geese, ducks, chickens and much more have their home here next to our cats and rabbits, who are happy to be petted.

Close to Koblenz, the town on the Rhine and Moselle, our property from the 16th century is situated in the middle of a protected landscape area, surrounded by woods and meadows. The apartments each have their own entrances, balconies or a terrace. The building is situated in a south-facing position and offers you a green area with fruit and nut trees as well as a large vegetable garden. We share our farm with our pets, such as cats, chickens, hares, geese and ducks. Our estate has been renovated and lovingly designed according to building biological criteria. The apartments are mostly equipped with wall heating, in the bathroom with underfloor heating. We heat the entire object with a wood gasification system with our own wood. The living room and kitchen are covered with oak parquet flooring and wooden planks, as well as marble and tiles in the bathrooms. The furnishings consist of antiques and furniture made of natural materials. Only slaked lime is used as wall paints.

Urbar is situated in the middle of the four low mountain ranges Taunus, Westerwald, Eifel and Hunsrück. Each individual landscape has its own special features. Various premium hiking trails run through these landscapes, including the Rheinsteig long-distance hiking trail. The Moselle and the Rhine are famous for their vineyards and wine specialities and invite you to travel by boat. Countless castles and palaces form an attractive scenario that offers enough space for many visits. The Rheinburgenweg offers the possibility to combine this with extensive hikes. Although you can enjoy absolute tranquillity, Koblenz's city centre is only seven kilometres away. There you can visit historic sites such as the Deutsches Eck or stroll through the old town on the Rhine and Moselle. From the fortress Ehrenbreitstein you can also take the cable car to the Deutsches Eck.

Thanks to its convenient location, our farm is easily accessible by car. The A48 motorway with the Bendorf/Neuwied junction is only about seven kilometres away; the A3 motorway can be reached in Montabaur, just over 20 kilometres away. You can reach us by bus or train via Koblenz central station (about seven kilometres away) and from there by bus of the Rhine-Mosel transport system. The bus stop Urbar, turnoff Holderbergerhof is just 850 metres from the farm.
