About the accommodation
Ecorkhotel is the first cork-clad hotel in the world. Aiming to resemble a traditional medieval village from the Alentejo region, the complex consists of the main building and 56 bungalow-style suites scattered among olive, holm and cork trees. The resort’s symmetric accommodation spaces are characterized by avant-garde design with refined lines, minimalist shapes and gleaming white walls. The main building comes with a series of leisure facilities, including spa, health club, gym, bar, and restaurant, as well as fully-equipped conference rooms.
It has 56 private suites with 70m2 each, 44 of which are standard, 6 premium, and 6 standard with kitchenette. The suites are equipped with air conditioning, telephone, satellite LED television, digital cassette, wireless internet, minibar, pillow menu, bathrobe, slippers, hair dryer and magnifying mirror. The Premium Suites are also equipped with a coffee machine, turndown service and late check out until 14.00h (upon availability).
Accommodation
Cork, being a 100% natural product, is a striking element throughout the hotel's main building as well as in the surrounding landscape. The Ecorkhotel uses cork in the outer covering of the main building, making it one of only a few buildings in the world -- and the first hotel -- to have used cork in this way.
