Accommodation
The rustic style of our natural rooms with natural materials such as Swiss stone pine, larch and clay create a wonderful atmosphere of well-being. The healthy room climate makes our rooms particularly suitable for allergy sufferers. A double slatted frame, free of any metal, and a cellulose mattress offer a unique sleeping comfort. An option for mains cut-off protects the room from electromagnetic radiation. Each room has a balcony with a wonderful view.
A spacious marble bathroom with shower and hairdryer is at your disposal. You also benefit from an LCD satellite TV, an electric kettle and a safe.
The new, spacious chalets are located in the garden of the Pennhof and, in addition to the furnishings similar to our double rooms, offer a heated bathtub with an integrated wood-burning stove on the covered balcony with a fantastic view of the Dolomites.
Surroundings and activites
The surrounding area around the Pennhof has a lot to offer, if you plan a day trip to the surrounding area. The South Tyrolean capital of Bolzano is only a few minutes' drive from Barbian. The cosy city with its lively streets is definitely worth a visit. Bressanone, a monastery town in the Isarco Valley and Merano, the spa town in the Adige Valley, are also worth a visit.
If you are interested in older walls, Runkelstein Castle, which extends over the roofs of Bolzano, is the ideal place. The Three-Churches, the Trostburg castle built in the Renaissance period and the Messner Mountain Museum of the legendary mountaineer Reinhold Messner at Sigmund Castle are further excursions for our active holidaymakers.
In addition, there are countless hiking trails in the area for all nature lovers and hikers.
